Design Hole – Our Blog of the Week
We’ve followed Jennifer Mitchell’s Blog, DesignHoleOnline.com, for a couple of years now. It is a pleasure to read—Jennifer is a professional designer by day, and her picks are perfect for those who take the thoughtful “slow home” approach (our recent favorite: Customized Ceramic Heirlooms).
Are you a chair nut like I am? Check out Jennifer’s Chair of the Day feature. Always fresh and interesting, the Chair of the Day is fascinating. Recently, she covered a chair made of handcrafted paper. A great resource for those looking to stay up on all things Chair.
When you have a second, pop over to DesignHoleOnline.com or follow Jennifer on Twitter (@DesignHole) – I am sure you’ll learn something new you can use in your home or your clients’ homes. Enjoy!
HomeWorkshop.com – Our First BlogRoll Entry
We are so busy here at Alluminare these days, that we have, woefully, neglected our blog roll. Blog rolls are standard for most blogs, we just never had time to do ours!
Well, no more. Each week, I’ll be adding a carefully chosen blog to our blog roll. The blog could be one you’ve heard of before, or a new, up-and-coming blog. I’ll be focusing on design & home improvement blogs. For sure, our blog roll will contain links to blogs we honestly love and find to be of real value.
I chose to add HomeWorkshop.com to our blog roll as our first listing. I became aware of HomeWorkshop when Friday mentioned this cool new blog she was reading, and how we ma
y do a contest together in search for our next World Class Designer.
What I really love about HomeWorkshop is the practical advice aspect. I love the Home Organizing section, and the Designer Rooms are especially inspirational. The Wall Art posts send me over the moon.
Another awesome thing about HomeWorkshop is that Kathy works with a lot of people we see on Twitter. It is great to see these experts come together in one place. Helpful, inspiring, fun.
And finally, there’s the challenges—ah, the challenges. It is so much fun to watch people’s creativity in action. It is part of what I do here at Alluminare too, so it really is something that interests me. I love how you can submit your own ideas for a challenge. So fun!
So, welcome HomeWorkshop.com to our blog roll! Go visit, and let us know what you think!
